What is Quinacrine Sterilization
......
QS is a permanent, nonsurgical sterilization procedure for women
A woman can be sterilized by using Quinacrine antibiotic without the need for surgery.
Quinacrine is an Antibiotic

Quinacrine antibiotic is the only drug in the United States approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) to treat Giardiasis.

Quinacrine antibiotic was first introduced in the 1930s to prevent and treat malaria. Since then, doctors from many parts of the world have prescribed it to millions of people for:
        Malaria
        Giardiasis
        Lupus
        Tapeworm
        Other medical conditions.

Researchers began studying Quinacrine antibiotic as a means for sterilization in the 1970s. The first QS method was developed by doctors in Chile in 1977.

Since 1977, over 175,000 women in 45 countries have used QS as a means for permanent sterility.

Quinacrine is an antibiotic also known as Atabrine or Mepacrine.

Quinacrine Sterilization is Permanent

Once the procedure is complete, it cannot be reversed. Women wanting to have more children should not consent to this procedure.

Quinacrine Sterilization will not protect you from disease.

Also, it is important to note that QS is intended to permanently prevent pregnancy. It does not protect against HIV infection (AIDS) and other sexually transmitted diseases.
